We are CircFocus, a New York-based consultancy devoted to resolving circulation challenges for magazine publishers nationwide. And I’m Steve Pippin, founder and president of CircFocus and a circulation practitioner for nearly 30 years.

I’ve served as Circulation Director for some of the best known titles in magazine publishing, including The Atlantic, Sail, Sky & Telescope and Equus. I was Circ Director for the launch of Civilization, the acclaimed membership magazine from the Library of Congress, and handled the circulation side of a major repositioning of Horticulture.

More importantly, I understand and appreciate the role circulation plays in your business, having served as Group Publisher of the renowned design magazines HOW, I.D. and Print and as General Manager/VP (and eventually, President) of Out Publishing. I know how to assemble high-performance teams. I can talk to editors. I can meet with investors. All of which ensure that your circ efforts and philosophy are well integrated with other aspects of your business.
